12v 60/55w H4 halogen 'conversion' bulb. This non standard bulb features the earlier P45t round base found on ball shaped tungsten bulbs on pre '73 vehicles.   Halogen bulbs give a much brighter and safer solution than standard bulbs, and if previously converted, fitting them to your headlights is exactly the same as standard.  If not yet converted, the job is extremely easy, simply involving removal of the small internal reflector, which can normally be achieved without having to dismantle the headlamp assembly.
