Based in rural Warwickshire, UK, at Auto Craft we pride ourselves on being "Europe's largest
manufacturer of high quality Classic VW parts".
Specialising in repair panels for air-cooled VW's, we manufacture 100's of parts in house, to exacting standards of quality. The vast majority of parts are reverse engineered from NOS panels, cuts from vehicles and measurements taken from perfect example vehicles.
Using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, our team of metal workers make and perfect the press tools, jigs and formers to ensure that every part that leaves us is the same high quality that our thousands of customers have come to expect.
All our panels are manufactured in at least the same thickness of high quality steel as the originals, and in some cases thicker.
Both direct, and through a network of dealers, we supply panels to customers worldwide, including North America, South America, Australia, Africa, Asia and all across Europe. Now we export to over 20 countries on an almost daily basis, and have supplemented our own products with other parts that we feel meet the same standards of quality and value that have always been at the core of 'the Auto Craft way'.
As with so many other companies in the VW scene, Auto Craft Engineering originally came into existence out of the need of VW owners.
After making several previously unavailable panels in the late 90's for their own Splitscreen buses and copies for other owners in the same situation, word soon spread via forums and word of mouth, and to cut a long story short, by 2004 making the panels on a commercial scale was the only sensible option.
The range of panels grew enormously in the early years, and over time larger and larger premises were required, and staff numbers grew. As the reputation for affordable high quality panels spread beyond the UK, Auto craft started exporting panels to private individuals and traders all across the world, as far afield as Australia, South Africa and North America, and even sending VW parts back to Germany.
Latterly, we've been making more panels for Beetles and Bay Window vans, and both these ranges continue to grow and grow.
